The Red Sea is regarded by many as the best dive site in the world. Its reputation for being one of the most beautiful places in the world is built on not a few breathtaking dive regions and sites along its coastline. It is possible to reach some of these sites relatively easily from the east Sinai coast. However, in the south Sinai region, from the eastern and western sides of the peninsula, there are coral reefs distant from the beach which can only be reached by boat.
These reefs are considered more beautiful than all of the sites that can be reached from shore, as they have been preserved form the ravages of construction and civilization. On some of these reefs can be found dive sites that offer a glimpse of the very special ecology of the Red Sea, while on others lie some of the most awesome shipwrecks in the world.
